After graduating from the University of California, Davis, Dr. Shen continued her studies in China at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a major institution for Chinese medical education.

"I work for Tesla on the assembly line here in Fremont. I had neck, shoulder and back pain from putting together Teslas. I first went to another Acupuncturist here in town but she didn't help. My coworker told me about Dr. Shen. Dr. Shen made all that pain go away in one treatment. Her hands are very strong and she makes it hurt in a good way. Don't let her small figure trick you. Aimee at the front desk is amazing. She is super nice and very knowledgeable. I didn't know Acupuncturist took insurance and the other clinic in town told me no Acupuncture clinic takes insurance. That was a lie. Aimee was able to find out that my united health care insurance from Tesla is covered here. I just had my $20 copay. AMAZING!!!!!! and MIND BLOWN!!!!​​"

"I originally came to Eastern Medical Center for acupuncture after breaking my leg. I had lingering pain and limited movement, and the relief was almost immediate. Since then, unfortunately, I've also broken my arm and my hand at different times, and every single time the treatment produced exponentially better results than I expected.
There have been periods where the wear and tear on my hands and arms from playing guitar, editing productions, and working long hours in my studio left me feeling genuinely worried that my arm only had a few usable years left. I went from debilitating pain and stiffness to completely forgetting that was even a period of my life.
I now go weekly, especially since I play hockey twice a week, and the difference in my mobility, pain levels, and overall body comfort has been huge. I move better, recover faster, and just feel more normal in my body again.
