Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used system of healing in the world. Originating in China some 3,500 years ago, acupuncture uses ultra fine needles that are inserted into precise points of the body to activate its natural healing functions. These healing functions may not activate on its own due to injuries, failure of a channel, clogged channels, etc. Unlike hypodermic needles, acupuncture needles are hair like thin and goes no where as deep as a hypodermic needle. When an acupuncture needle is inserted within the right points, the channel is waken and a signal is sent to the brain asking for help. The brain in terms releases the body's natural chemicals to begin the body's repairing process.
